A Boy and His Dog

Once upon a time there was a little boy. He had no brothers or sisters , but
he did have a really good pal in his dog, a male black Scottie dog.

One day he decided he could maybe make some money by selling balloons. So he
went to the store and bought all kinds of balloons. Red ones, yellow ones, green ones,
purple ones and blue ones. Even some white ones. It was a lot of work blowing up all of
those ballons. It took him almost a day to do it. The next morning he tied
them all together and asked his mother if he could walk around the block and
try and sell them. She said, okay.
So he started off and decided to take his little Scottie dog with him. He
sold about three of them . Then a grownup came along and asked if he could
buy five of them. He had about twenty of them left. In order to pick out
the five, he decided to tie them to the little dog's collar and then he'd have
both hands free to pick them out.
He turned to the man to ask what colors he wanted and when he looked back the
balloons had flown up into the air holding the little dog. He was really scared
he jumped for them, but could not reach
the dog. The man tried, but by then they were even higher. His Scottie was
barking and barking. The little boy ran back to his home as fast as he could.
When he got back they were almost as high as a house. He had gone home to
get his BB gun.
He aimed at the balloons one at a time. Sometimes he missed, but little by
little, the ballons started to come down. He shot them out one by one until
they were finally where he could catch the dog. The man purchased the
remaining balloons and gave him a dollar extra. Boy, that was a scary thing.
He decided, he would not do that again. He would just sell lemonade from
in front of his house. And they all lived happily ever after.
